Beyonce is getting “blasted” by fans after using an audio sample from the Challenger Space Shuttle explosion in the beginning of her new song “XO”.

The voice you hear is Steve Nesbitt’s.

He was NASA’s Public Affairs Officer who was the public voice detailing the flight of the Challenger as it rose and then disintegrated.

Right after the announcement the music immediately begins and in the video viewers are taken to an amusement park with flashing lights.

Many critics find that this was in poor artistic taste, considering the song isn’t about the Challenger which killed all seven crew members.

This criticism comes on the heels of recent backlash over Beyonce’s new iTunes album.

Some angry parents claim her new songs are too vulgar and that her new music videos are too provocative.
