HUALIEN, TAIWAN – Tom Hanks made the whole survival at sea thing look pretty easy. Of course that was the movies and for a 42-year-old Taiwan man, his ordeal was anything but cinematic.

Lost at sea for 60 plus hours, doctors are calling his survival a miracle. The man was fishing for baby eels on a local beach when a wave whisked him away. And get this the man can’t swim!

Thanks to an old coffin that was floating nearby, he was able to stay afloat. After nearly three days at sea, he washed ashore nearly 50 miles away from this home suffering from dehydration and a few sores on his arms.
