Family and friends of Yoli Perez say she was on her way to pick her daughter up from school on Rockyridge Drive when someone shot and killed her.
They think her death is a case of mistaken identity because she doesn’t have any enemies, and her child’s father still lives in Honduras where she’s originally from.
Houston police say the shooting was ambush-style because after the gunman opened fire on her, he fled and hasn’t been seen since.
Another piece to the puzzle – Perez filed a report with police a few months ago claiming someone had shot at her but missed.
There’s no word if the two shootings are connected but the latter of the two will no doubt have a lasting effect.
