LOS ANGELES, CA – It’s been a long time since anyone’s seen a cigarette commercial on TV. However, there was one face most of us identified with the tobacco industry and Marlboro cigarettes, in particular.

Eric Lawson, but you probably know him as the Marlboro Man has died at the age of 72.

Can you guess from what?

If you guessed human werewolf syndrome, you’re incorrect!

If you said he died as a result of smoking, congrats, you’ve mastered the art of using context clues.

Lawson’s wife, Susan, says he died from respiratory failure due to Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease at his home, January 10th.

It’s just too bad people didn’t know about the dangers of smoking when Lawson started lighting up all those years ago. So remember kids, if you’re thinking of starting this bad habit, it’s not the first cigarette that kills ya.
