EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – While most Super Bowl talk has been about the Seahawks vs. the Broncos, the real showdown is between New York and New Jersey.

The problem is that a lot of people don’t realize the game isn’t in New York, it’s in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The mayor of East Rutherford said he spoke with a radio host in Seattle who didn’t know the stadium was in New Jersey.

Times Square is being transformed into Super Bowl Boulevard as we speak, while in East Rutherford, there isn’t a sign in sight.

On most Super Bowl promotional material you’ll find the New York City skyline, and New York will likely be bringing in a majority of the revenue. But the players are staying in New Jersey hotels, training and media appearances will be in the Garden State and Jersey is footing the bill for additional security.

It’s hard to compete with the energy and fame of the Big Apple, but someone is trying!
