HOUSTON, TX – The National Institutes of Health is offering up to $3000 to “brave” subjects willing to be injected with the flu.

Scientists in Maryland are using 100 people in the study. Based on our asking around town, it doesn’t look like it will be hard finding folks willing to take a shot.

The flu kills thousands of people every year.

Volunteers are required to spend at least nine days quarantined in a hospital for observation. The goal of the whole thing is to help scientists to learn how to create a better vaccine.

Talk about a sick offer.
