astrosHOUSTON, TX – They didn’t get their endearing nickname ‘Lastros’ for nothing. Now Forbes.com adds salt to the wound.

The Stros are one of three teams in Major League Baseball to lose value.

Jim Crane bought the team in 2011 for $610 million, Forbes puts the current value at $530 million.

One potential reason for the drop in worth is the Astros inability to reach a total rights agreement with Comcast Sports Net Houston. The team only got $29 million of the $56 million they say they are due in rights fees.

So now it’s up to the Astros. Maybe this year they’ll surprise us with a home-run season and a few more fans at the ticket window.
