HOUSTON – Few things are more Texan than a delicious, hot plate of barbecue.
In honor of the beloved tangy treat, Houstonians gathered at NRG park Sunday for the 2nd annual Houston BBQ Festival.
Festival goers chowed down on ribs, brisket and more — from Houston barbecue joints like Gatlin’s, CorkScrew BBQ, and Ray’s BBQ Shack.
And if the smell of smoked meat wasn’t enough to entice Houstonians, a portion of the proceeds will go to Vita-Living, Inc., a nonprofit that serves people with disabilities.
Doing good while grubbin’ on BBQ? It doesn’t get much better than that.
