HOUSTON, TX – Happy Jackie Robinson Day y’all!

That’s right, Tuesday marked a very special day in the world of baseball.

67-years-ago, Jackie Robinson made his major-league debut becoming the first black player in the modern era, #42 of the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Now every April 15th we honor the man who helped change the world of professional sports forever.

Celebrations continued inside Minute Maid Park, where fans and players remembered Robinson’s accomplishments and leadership.

And in the wise words of the late and great Jackie Robinson, “A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives.”

And his words rang true. Thank you, number 42!
