MESA, AZ – Michael Phelps is a big, fat liar.
The dude has an impressive 22 Olympic medals. He’s been officially retired for almost two years. But apparently it’s not enough, because he’s getting back in the game. Phelps just announced he’ll be competing for the first time since the 2012 Olympics at a meet in late April in Arizona.
Hopefully he’s not taking any bong hits this time.
His coach says this isn’t a full-fledged comeback; not yet at least. Instead, Phelps is testing the waters. He’s only been back training in the pool for a few months.
But that doesn’t mean he’s not going to go for the gold in Rio in 2016. No comments from him on that yet.
You’re the most decorated Olympian of all time; give somebody else a chance!
