SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Ah, farm life. Crack open a beer on the porch and then open one up for your… cow?
Okay, not quite.
But apparently cows really dig eating beer grain, which is an excellent situation for brewing companies and farmers. The grain is cheap and breweries usually have a lot leftover.
And no, the cows don’t get drunk off it. Not even tipsy.
But, as with all good things, the FDA is trying to regulate the sale of beer grains, proposing a rule that would keep cows from getting their fix.
Hey, it’s not like the cows get sick from it. So, c’mon, FDA, what ales you?
