PEARLAND, TX —

350 kids came out to Pearland High School’s football stadium to learn the finer points of football. Houston Texans’ linebacker Brian Cushing was leading the charge to help coach these kids up.

Ssndor Schuimp is a father to a couple of the campers and he had glowing words about the camp and Coach Cushing, : “Brian Cushing is awesome with the kids and the camp, the staff and the coaches are top-notch and professional.”

Cushing recently became a parent and the experience has allowed him to better bond with kids.

Cushing says,  “I think parenthood changes everyone as a person. That relates to everything else you do and obviously you come out here and see these kids now, knowing you have a kid, you become more passionate and you let them know what you know.”

Some of the young football students got to show Cushing what skills they had picked up while others got to take a few pictures with their NFL hero.

Kamron, one of the campers, says,  “I learned a lot of things. The camp is really good for players that want to play football when they grow up.”

It may seem like it was all fun and games, but some of these kids know that the NFL season is right around the corner and weren’t afraid to make a bold prediction for the Texans

Brandon, another camp participant, says, “They were kind of bad last year, but I’m pretty sure this year they are going to win a lot of games and get into the finals and win the Super Bowl.”
