DENVER – It’s not your mom’s magic brownie. Pot edibles have come a long way!

Now that cannabis is legal in Colorado, everything from cookies to candies to elaborate elixirs mixed with marijuana are on the market.  But it’s leaving a bad taste for many.

After 2 deaths attributed to pot edibles, lawmakers are discussing regulations.  In March, a 19 year old died when he jumped off a balcony after reportedly eating 65 milligrams of THC in a cookie (10 is considered a serving) and another man was recently arrested for killing his wife after he finished a pot-laced cookie too.

The state will decide how products should be packaged and labeled.
