HOUSTON, TX -Approximately 2,500 athletes from around the world started their quest to finish the 4th Annual Memorial Hermann Ironman Texas Triathlon.

An Ironman Triathlon consists of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride, and a 26.2 marathon run to top it off.

In past years, it’s been a little warm on race day. But this year the weather was absolutely perfect. Participants who put their body through one of the most grueling experiences known to man definitely appreciate it.

Everyone that finishes this journey has definitely earned the right to be called Ironman!
