macHOUSTON, TX – It was a deadly prom night at MacArthur High School.

Police are still waiting for autopsy results on 17-year-old Jacqueline Gomez. They say she stayed at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in north Houston, where the prom was held, but in the next morning she never woke up.

Police say there were no visible signs of trauma. According to the girl’s boyfriend, they had been drinking the night before and prescription pills were reportedly found in the room.

A statement from Aldine I.S.D. says in-part that grief counselors were on campus to meet with students and staff on Monday.

The girl’s boyfriend is not expected to be charged.
