HOUSTON, TX – You could say that Lowe’s Home Improvement Store is taking a high road.

They’re giving free storm stuff to folks in low-income locales. Buckets filled with flashlights, batteries, tarps, gloves and more are being distributed to residents around Acres Home and the Greater Fifth Ward.

The hope is that this will ward-off some big problems later on. Lowe’s is running similar programs in a handful of other states as well.
