MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – The phrase “this is a man’s world” may not be true in all cases, but at Google men are definitely calling the shots.

Based on a diversity report, a whopping 70% of Google’s workforce is male.

Out of that 70% — 61% are white.

The data is based on about 44,000 Googlers employed worldwide at the beginning of this year.

If you thought that was shocking about 80% of the company’s tech and leadership positions are held by men, too.

Only 2% of Google’s employees are black and 3% are Hispanic.

Asians make up about a third of the company’s workforce.

In a blog post, Google’s Senior Vice President of People Operations, Laszlo Bock, says “Google is not where we want to be when it comes to diversity.”

We thought Google had all the answers, but diversity is obviously one thing that’s got them stumped.
