ALEXANDRIA, VA – It’s not everyday that veterans get the recognition they deserve.

However, one man found a way to honor veterans and give back at the same time.

After Captain Nicholas Karnaze’s friend Justin was killed in Afghanistan back in 2012 , he decided to honor his fallen friend and fellow Marine by growing a war beard.

War beards were all the rage during the Civil War. And they’ve apparently made a comeback; a lot of Marines sport beards during their deployment, including Justin.

That’s how Karnaze’s business, Stubble and ‘Stach, got started.

Based in the Washington, D.C. area the company offers skincare and beard grooming products for men.

What a great way to take it on the chin for all who served.
