CYPRESS, TX – Who says you can’t go back? If you grew-up in Houston in the 80’s and 90’s, chances are your radio dial was locked on Rock 101 KLOL, where the “Radio Gawdz”, Mark Stevens and Jim Pruett ruled the airwaves. Those glory days still play out in the hearts of many Houstonians.

But now Jim, with his new gang of Groove-Dogz, are ready to once again rock the airwaves. Cypress Radio 101.7 FM is now on the air and they promise to bring “Radio, the way it was meant to be” back to the Houston area.

Even though this is a low wattage radio signal, with the power of technology, Jim Pruett from 6 to 10am, with radio icon Colonel St. James covering afternoons, the station is capable of being streamed to every computer and smart phone from here to Timbuktu. That’s something that was virtually unheard of in the past.

Jim Pruett and many around Houston clearly still have fond remembers the good old days, but today Houston radio is rockin’ again! And the “Radio Gawdz” are smiling!
