NYC cops get hard on subway pole dancing, acrobatics

NEW YORK, NY – A ride on a New York City subway can be more than just a way to get from one place to another. Sometimes it can be entertaining in a weird way.

It can also be a little creepy, like seeing a guy covering his body with Vaseline.

Sometimes your fellow passenger is a real rat. No, really, a real rat.

But apparently, acrobats are the real danger To Big Apple subway riders. They’re known as subway acrobats, and they’re on the police radar.

Gotham’s top cop, Bill Bratton, says such low-grade lawlessness might encourage scallywags to engage in more dangerous activity.

Police have busted more than 240 subway acrobats this year, about 200 more than at this time last year.

They say they just want to make the ride a little nicer and make a little money while doing it.
