Tupac musical gets shot down

New York, NY – In what seems to be life imitating art, or art imitating life , once again Tupac is out of the spotlight, too soon.

“Holler If Ya Hear Me,” the urban rap musical inspired by the lyrics and poetry of Tupac Shakur, made it’s big Broadway debut June 19th.

With less than impressive attendance rates and cheap as can be ticket prices (ranging from $24 – $45) the exhausting two-plus-hour show will have it’s final curtain call just a little over a month after it began.

However, with all those die-hard Tupac fans out there, how could this thing be a flop? Asking around found that most fans aren’t interested in a musical about their favorite musician. Having the ability to  buy the Greatest-Hits Album for less than $20, it’s understandable to see how this Broadway Show was bound to fail.
