ITHACA, NY – Finding a job can be tough and lots of people are hungry for work. Well believe it or not, being hungry, literally, might help you land your next job.

Researchers from Cornell University and Dartmouth College did a study. They say the hungrier you are, the more aggressive you are to get what you want, like food. Or in this case, a job. They did two experiments with different groups of people in different settings, all revolving around whether or not they had eaten or if they were around food. In both instances, hungrier participants reported feeling more entitled. Researchers say that feeling translates into more confidence.

So if you’re looking for a job, put that burger down and get to it!
