HOUSTON, TX – The streak is over!

The Texans are UNBEATEN after their Bulls on Parade sacking of the Redskins in the season opener. Houston prevailed 17-6 to win their first regular season game in 357 days.

Okay, Houston, we’re all happy they finally won a game but let’s not get too excited, it’s just one game. Last year the Texans won the first two and one fan made a bold declaration. “I predict we’re going to go undefeated.” What he didn’t know, and none of us expected) the battle red boys would go on to bleed for 14 straight games. So we’re happy they won but let’s contain our excitement.

Rookie Jadeveon Clowney had a great debut before he tore his meniscus. Coach Bill O’Brien says Clowney had surgery on Monday to repair the tear and is expected to miss four to six weeks. Injury aside, it’s a good start for the Texans and their fans. Just don’t schedule a parade…just yet. Texans next play on the road next Sunday at Oakland.
