Ninety-two fire stations help keep Houston safe

Houston has 92 fire stations around the city. As of February 2014, there are 87 fire engines in service and 37 trucks with ladders and towers. HFD has 56 ambulances, 11 airport rescue units, 8 evacuation boats, and 5 rescue boats. HFD has 3700 employees.
