HOUSTON, Texas - An arctic blast has dropped temperatures into the 40’s and sent Houstonians scrambling for coats and hats to keep warm. For your information, apparently, animal hats are in fashion at the University of Houston.

With tempertures expected to continue to drop, the Star of Hope has deployed their “Hope in Action Van” to help the homeless. “We give them coats and we give them blankets to make sure they’re at least safe for the night,” explains Scott Arthur.

If you thought today was cold, then you’re not going to like tomorrow’s weather. The polar weather that plunged temps into the teens and dumped more than two feet of snow in parts of Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin and the front is headed our way.

Now, don’t expect the same white out conditions, but you might want to go ahead and pull out all your cold weather clothes because winter has arrived in H-town.
