COLLIER COUNTY, Florida – It's the kind of thing you don't want to see when eating at a restaurant, a huge 14-foot python. That's exactly what wildlife officers and firefighters had to deal with when called to deal with a giant python outside of a south Florida restaurant.
The owner reportedly spotted the 14-foot snake and called for help. With a small dog and kid inside (never mind the desire to have anyone actually eat at the establishment again), he needed reinforcements.
Officers ultimately turned the snake over to a licensed handler. It will likely be used for research.
