HOUSTON, Texas - Members of Houston's French community gathered at Sam Houston Park on Sunday to pay tribute to the victims of terrorist attacks in France this week.
The crowd observed a moment of silence before singing the French national anthem.
"The French community is very important. It's getting bigger, and today, I'm impressed - families are coming with children. It's a very good thing," said one of the participants, Jean Baptiste.
The event occurred on the same day as an anti-terrorism rally in Paris which brought out more than 3.7 million people.
