CINCINNATI, OH – Federal agents in Cincinnati, Ohio arrested a man they say planned a terror attack at the US Capitol in Washington.

His name: Christopher Lee Cornell. His alleged crime: plotting to set off pipe bombs inside the Capitol, wait in the parking lot, and then pick off people as they ran outside.

Investigators say Cornell has been planning the attack for several months, telling an informant, “I believe that we should just wage jihad under our own orders and plan attacks and everything.”

On Wednesday, Cornell bought two AR-15 rifles similar to these, and 600 rounds of ammo at an Ohio gun shop and shooting range.

And that’s when the FBI decided it was time to pull the plug.

Now, Cornell’s dad says the FBI may have tricked his son into planning the attack.

Despite his jihadist postings, Cornell’s father describes his recently converted Moslem son as a mama’s boy who couldn’t hurt anyone.

Meanwhile, in Delaware, the state’s New Castle Air National Guard Base is under increased security after occupants described as “Mideastern” in appearance, attempted probes of the main gate five times on Monday and Tuesday.

And now, on the other side of the world, Belgium police killed two people and arrested a third they say were ready to carry out major terror attacks in that country.

Police had been watching the cell since the members returned from Syria, and chose to close in now and not waffle.
