HOUSTON, Tx. - There are more dog owners in Houston than you can shake a stick at. And now H-Town`s got one more spot to play fetch.

Located near Allen Parkway and Montrose Boulevard, the Johnny Steele Dog Park that opened today has quite the pedigree.

“This is part of a 160 acres, $58 million dollar project spearheaded by Buffalo Bayou Partnership. It’s so exciting to see this come to fruition and to see so many park users enjoying it!” shared Trudi Smith, with Buffalo Bayou Partnership.

They`ve unleashed all the perks with ponds for both big and small dogs, a doggy mini-waterpark, and shaded areas to chill. And important for every member of the family, water fountains to stay hydrated.

The park is open from 7a.m. to 8 p.m. every day. So if the four legged members of your family are itching to get out after this ruff weather we`ve had, get on out to the Johnny Steele Dog Park, dog gonnit!
