HOUSTON -- Amir Befroui regularly uses the Park and Pool stop at Bay Area Boulevard and I-45, but he says it is way too small. Think of a parking lot for ants.

Befroui says the spillover typically parks in an adjacent lot, but that property was recently bought by Weingarten Realty, who now says their spaces are for patrons only. Violators will be towed.

“It’s totally understandable, it's just we've got nowhere else to park. There's literally no more room in the metro lot,” says Befroui.

Jerome Gray, a representative for Metro, says, "It's not going to solve the problem today but we are building a new lot at El Dirado and I-45... There will be 1000 parking spaces in that parking lot location. The downside... it's going to be sometime next year before this facility is up and running."

Not much of a solution for those wanting to park and ride now.
