LOWER MORELAND, PA - A chainsaw massacre is something we’re used to seeing on the big screen, it’s not however a term often used to describe a crime scene but that’s exactly what’s being said about a home in Lower Moreland, Pennsylvania.

Police say a teen boy came home to find both his parents dead from what appears to be wounds from a chainsaw. As you can imagine the scene was horrific but what’s even more bizarre than the weapon of choice, is that police are only ruling one of the deaths a homicide.

They say the mother, Nicole Peppelman, 43, was murdered but they haven’t said the same for her husband, Chris Peppelman, 48. So could this be a murder-suicide?

Police aren’t clarifying, but both bodies were hacked with a chainsaw. Hard to even imagine someone could inflict those type of wounds on their own body. Neighbors of the family say the couple had been having marital issues and Nicole had recently moved out of the house with the couple’s three sons. Records, also, show that police visited the house in the past because of domestic violence issues.
