Future fire fighters from Houston high schools got some hands-on training at the Houston fire department training facility in southeast Houston.

Throughout the year, Houston firefighters mentor the students through the C.A.S.E.Y. EMT and fire training camp.

C.A.S.E.Y stands for cultivate, advise, support, empower youth -- and that's what they do for those who want a career in firefighting.

Time will tell if these students end up in the field and if they can really take the heat!
