GOODYEAR, AZ - A bad day in Goodyear, Arizona, after former Baylor basketball star and Houston native Brittney Griner and fiancée Glory Johnson were arrested on assault allegations.

Police were called to their newly purchased home Wednesday afternoon, after the WNBA players got into argument that quickly turned physical. Johnson's sister told police that they were 'in the living room throwing things at each other,' and that she 'couldn't get them pulled apart.'

According to the police report, Griner says the two were having relationship issues. Neither of them wanted to press charges, but police arrested them on suspicion of assault and disorderly conduct. The WNBA has no comment, other than to say they are aware of the incident, and are gathering more information.

Griner proposed to Johnson last August, and announced plans to get married next month. Maybe they should take a timeout before it's game over.
