HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Rockets aren’t throwing a pity party for the Dallas Mavericks.  The Mavs were dealt a double blow on Wednesday when the team ruled out Rajon Rondo and Chandler Parsons for the rest of the series. Rondo is out indefinitely with a back injury, while Parsons is done for the season with a knee injury. The Rockets are up 2-0 going into Friday’s Game 3.

“Obviously, those are two starters, two key players to their team, but they got a lot of other guys that can step up,” Rockets guard James Harden said after practice on Thursday. “It doesn’t change things for us. We’ve got to be ready to go from the beginning of the game.”

“We understand this is going to be a really desperate and big game for them,” Rockets forward Josh Smith added. “We’re very focused on what we need to do in order to try and control our own destiny.”

Game 3 starts at 6pm Friday at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
