Rockets vs. Mavericks

It's game time baby!

The Rockets could wrap things up this weekend with two wins against the Mavs. The team is in Dallas for games 3 and 4 of the playoff series. Houston already leads 2-to-zip.

Tip off for tonight's game is set for 6, Sunday's game starts at 8pm.

Pitch, Hit & Run Competition with the Sugar Land Skeeters

FREE - Calling all baseball and softball players aged 7 to 14 to a skills competition with the Sugar Land Skeeters at Constellation Field. Saturday at 9am.

Safe Kids Greater Houston coalition is hosting a Safety for Kids Day/Event

Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26 from 10:00am to 3:00pm both days at Main Street America, 18750 Interstate 45, Spring, TX 77373.

This is a two day child safety/family centered focused event in which lots of education, activities, booths and give-a-ways will be given. All risk areas will be covered: water safety, bike/pedestrian safety, child passenger safety, home safety and more.

Pocket Universe Art Show

Go inside a pocket universe this weekend at Winter Street Studios gallery.

Three artists will share an exhibit focusing on a world within a world. You can check out work by Ian Anderson, Justin Dunford, and Lindsay Peyton.

The exhibit is set for Saturday evening beginning at 6pm.

3rd Annual Houston BBQ Festival

20 of Houston's best barbecue joints will all be in one place, NRG Park.

The third annual Houston Barbecue Festival runs from 1 to 5pm on Sunday.

Organizers say the event is all about recognizing the hard work, talent and dedication of owners and pit masters who make Houston barbecue great.

Tickets are still available for $50.
