Rockets unable to close out Mavs, lose game 4

DALLAS – The Houston Rockets were unable to complete the series sweep against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night. The Mavs won 121-109.

It looked like the Rockets would be able to pull it off after a fast start leading after one quarter  34-25 but they would collapse in both the second and third quarters as they were unable to score a field goal for nearly ten minutes. Dallas dominated the boards as they out rebounded the Rockets by 15 on the night.

Monta Ellis had 31 points on the night, after scoring 34 in game three, to lead the Mavs in scoring.

James Harden led the Rockets in scoring with 24 points and Josh Smith added 23, with 18 of those coming in the fourth quarter.

Rockets will look to close out the series on Tuesday night at the Toyota Center in Game 5.
