HOUSTON – The Rockets had a great season this year finishing in the Western Conference Finals but this time of year reminds us of another special time in Rockets’ history —  the 20th anniversary of…Clutch City when Houston won back-to-back championships.

Players and coaches from that team gathered Wednesday during a private screening of Clutch City–  an NBA TV documentary set to air Monday during the finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

“A lot of people don’t know about the Rockets, especially the younger generation,” says Rudy Tomjanovich, the head coach of the back-to-back championship team.

The film examines the Rockets’ title teams and assesses their place in history among the greatest NBA teams of all-time.

“We never underestimated no-one but we always had that inner confidence in ourselves to win games when no-one thought we could win,” says Sam Cassell who played point guard for the Rockets from 1993-1996.

Go team — you were champions in the 90’s and you’re still number one to us!
