HOUSTON, TX - A horrific crash shut down part of the Eastex Freeway around downtown Houston Sunday night and crews worked into early Monday morning to clean up the scene.
Around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, a motorcyclist was driving up the IH-45 flyover ramp from SH-288 when he went off the side. He and his bike fell all the way to the ground-level US-59, landing on a Toyota pickup. The impact smashed the front of the truck and its windshield.
The motorcyclist died instantly, but the truck's driver and passenger weren't hurt.
