Police clash with mob of fans at Summer Jam concert

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ - While thousands of Houstonians enjoyed the tunes of Free Press Summer Fest, up north some fans were doing anything but having a good time at the Summer Jam concert in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

According to police, tickets for the show that featured acts like Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar, and Chris Brown sold out rather quickly.

When angry fans realized they couldn’t buy tickets at the door, they improvised, jumping fences and squeezing through bars. Police were forced to shut the gates and that only made things worse.

Things were thrown at police, metal barriers being toppled. Police strapped with riot gear called for backup several people ended up getting arrested.
