HOUSTON, TX – A crash in northeast Houston overnight sent two people to the hospital, one in critical condition.

Just after 12 a.m. Thursday, Houston Police say a white pickup stalled in the right lane of the North Loop between the Eastex Freeway and the Hardy Toll Road. A semi-truck driver didn’t see the pickup and drove right into it.

“The [force] of the collision forced the two vehicles to move over to the left, striking another – a black SUV – that pushed that over the concrete barrier,” said Sgt. Tim Trometer.

The driver of the white pickup was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The SUV driver was also transported, but wasn’t as seriously hurt.
