MARIETTA, TX - An East Texas man has learned not to shoot an armored animal after one of his bullets bounced off an armadillo and hit him in the face.
Investigators say the man walked outside his Marietta home around 3 a.m. on evening and spotted an armadillo. The man grabbed his revolver and fired three shots at the animal, but its shell deflected at least one of the three bullets the guy fired and it ended up hitting him in the jaw.
He went to a hospital and had his jaw wired shut. He’s expected to be OK. So’s the armadillo, which apparently walked away.
