Rosenberg PD gets nearly 85 pounds of marijuana off street during traffic stop

ROSENBERG, TX – Rosenberg Police Interdiction Officer and his K9 partner Rik conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 69. During the stop, K9 Rik sniffed out that something was wrong so there was a search of the vehicle. Located inside were numerous concealed packages of marijuana.

The stop netted 84.7 pounds of marijuana, preventing it from hitting the streets. It also landed Melenel Lara, 28 of Penitas, Texas and Martin Aguillon Jr., 33, of Palmview, Texas a trip behind bars. Both were charged with possession of marijuana.
