The future is now for Texas

HOUSTON - According to a report released by the U.S. Census Bureau, here in the Lone Star state, the future is now.

Texas is one of only four states that is majority minority, and our racial make up closely resembles what researchers project for the entire country by 2060.

In Houston, there is no clear majority. In fact, the report shows the Bayou City about 10-15 years ahead of the rest of Texas

As the nation looks ahead to a vastly changing cultural landscape over the next few decades, in Houston, we're looking forward to hoverboards because diversity is nothing new to us.
