Hundreds of new Texas laws go into effect Sept. 1

Starting Sept. 1, state law will require schools and local government offices to provide a private area for breastfeeding employees to pump milk.

If you’re a student, the state will now pay off student loans for mental health professionals if they spend their first few years treating the mentally ill or inmates.

Also, sharing photos or videos meant to be private will now be considered a class a misdemeanor. These are just a few of the hundreds of new laws that kick in today.
