HOUSTON – Police have identified the suspect wanted in the fatal shooting that happened at an apartment complex near Texas Southern University last week.

22-year-old Jartis Leon LeBlanc Jr. is charged with murder.

He’s accused of killing TSU freshman, Brent Randall, and injuring his brother, Lawrence Flowers. Officials say it was in retaliation for a shooting after a basketball game the night before.

Reports say LeBlanc was supposed to turn himself in Thursday, but backed out.

It’s unclear why he changed his mind.
