HOUSTON – The husband of the young mother killed Monday in a crash at HEB has filed a wrongful death lawsuit.31-year-old Karla Sanchez was killed after an elderly woman crashed her SUV into the store.

Six other people were hurt, including Sanchez’s 2-year-old daughter and sister.

Sanchez’s husband is suing HEB and the driver for $1 million.

The lawsuit claims that the 74-year-old driver was negligent and that the store’s protective pillars “deficiently built” and “poorly maintained.”

HEB released a statement saying they are working with the Houston Police Department to investigate the deadly crash and that they are “committed to helping the family during this difficult time.”
