CUPERTINO, CA - Everyone rise for Apple: the most profitable company on Earth!   Apple reported profits of $51 billion in the last 12 months.  That's more than the annual GDP of 110 countries.  Not too shabby, especially when it all started with two friends

"If people like their products they'll buy them," said customer Robert Cruz.  "That's why they make so much money."

iPhones, iPads, Mac computers, perhaps the iWatch and Apple TV too… It's all thanks to our support and those tireless kids in China.  Keep up the good work!  So, what would Apple do with all that money?  Reinvest, for sure… Pay taxes?  Who knows?

Similar to other high-tech companies, Apple takes advantage of legal loopholes to avoid paying corporate taxes.  For instance, they've established subsidiaries in places such as Ireland that collect their profits in foreign markets.  Cha-ching.  So, if you're happy with your gadget, imagine how happy they are with their lawyers.

"I think the government needs to back down and lock in these loopholes," Cruz added.

In conclusion: cheers to you Apple.  By the way, don't know whether or not this is the right time, but could you lend us some money?
