AUSTIN, TX – The verdict is in for a Texas man charged with killing four people and injuring 20 others as he drove his car into a crowd at the South by Southwest music festival in March of 2014.

On Friday, a jury found Rashad Owens guilty of capital murder.

Families of the victims sitting inside the courtroom were emotional as they cried and hugged each other as the verdict was read. The verdict means Owens will automatically spend the rest of his life in prison without the possibility of parole.
