You know the saying a picture is worth a thousand words. But what about the world's largest cat painting?

Apparently, that's worth $826,000! That's what someone paid for it at a Sotheby's auction in New York recently. The painting titled "My Wife's Lovers," weighs more than 220 pounds and belonged to San Francisco millionairess and art collector, Kate Birdsall Johnson.

Artist Carl Kahler was hired to paint the canvas showing 42 of 350 cats for Johnson in the early 1890s. It took the artisit three years to finish it.

Guess some things do get more valuable with time.
