MOUNTAINVIEW, CA - If you drive a car, chances are pretty good you know what the sound of a siren usually means.... you`re goin` too fast.  In Mountainview, California a police officer pulled over a car for get driving too slow!   Even more surprising....no driver!

It was one of Google`s autonomous vehicles and it was going 24 miles per hour in a 35 zone. Though no one was behind the wheel, there was a passenger.

The Google Self Driving Car Project is miles away from the showroom floor, yet the prototype is getting plenty of test drives. So far, though...no tickets. Even in this case because the car hadn`t actually broken any laws. But let`s face it, this was not a routine stop for the California cop.

Still, it makes you wonder....is Google  really steering us in the right direction?
